Children's Reading Foundation of Doņa Ana County Inspires
Every Thursday since the beginning of December, three to five students from the Builders Club have visited the Discovery Child Development Center near Lynn Middle School to read to pre-school children for 20 minutes.
The Lynn Builders Club is one of a group of youth service organizations similar to high school Key Clubs that are sponsored by Kiwanis Clubs all over the world. The Builders club at Lynn is supported by the Kiwanis Club of Las Cruces and sponsored by 6th grade teacher Elva Armijo. The reading project will be submitted to Kiwanis International as Lynn Builders Club's best service project of the year.
The Children’s Reading Foundation would like to commend and thank the Builders Club for furthering literacy in Doña Ana County.
