About Us

Several years ago, the first Reading Foundation was formed in the Tri-Cities in Washington. It has been enormously successful and has even received state and national recognition for its outstanding programs. One of the goals of that first Reading Foundation was to help foster other similar organizations across the nation. The Eastern Oregon Reading Foundation was the second “chapter.” The Umatilla-Morrow Education Service District sponsored the Eastern Oregon Reading Foundation in 2000 and it has been running strong ever since.
