BOOK BASKETS
Book Baskets distributed by the Children’s Reading Foundation are intended to serve as a visual reminder to the community about the important role books play in a child’s life and in starting school ready to learn.
about the project—our goal: We want to distribute baskets of books for families to read together while “waiting” in public places and local businesses. Each basket will have 12 to 15 books and other information for families to take with them. Books will be replaced at no charge by the Children's Reading Foundation.
we need help from: Local businesses, individuals, service organizations and community groups on the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. Organizations can host a basket in their place of business and/or sponsor a basket for $50.00 year. If you would like more information about hosting or sponsoring a book basket, please contact us.
