READING FOUNDATION

Mini-Cassia Programs

Baby Packs

Parents of newborns are given a baby pack which includes a hardboard book for parents to read to their baby. Support for this program comes from the Rupert Kiwanis Club. The packs are stuffed by students at the Burley Junior High.

Billboard

With the funding support of the Minidoka County School District, a billboard has been placed on the highway between Burley and Rupert that shows the Foundation logo and reminds parents to read to their children. The billboard is in both English and Spanish.

Parades

With the help of the K-kids from the Rupert Kiwanis club, the Mini-Cassia Reading Foundation banner will be carried in the parade.

County Fairs Book Distribution

Free books will be presented to all children who visit the Mini-Cassia Reading Foundation booth at the Minidoka and Cassia County fairs held in August, 2007.
