Santa comes early to the Treasure Valley

As part of this year’s Christmas celebration, the Treasure Valley Reading Foundation is donating 14,000 free children’s books, Santa Kid, by James Patterson.

 Nampa – The following Santa’s helpers aided in bringing these books to Idaho:  
  • Key Bank
  • College of Idaho Student Philanthropy Council
  • Schindler Trust Foundation
  • SuperValu Albertson Boise OPEN PGA Golf
  • The Meridian Rotary Club
  • The Nampa Rotary Club’s Golf for Hope
  • Shilo Automatic Sprinkler, Inc.
Treasure Valley Reading Foundation, with the help of Shilo Automatic Sprinkler, Inc., a local business owned by Stan Beus, unloaded the books on Friday, December 7th.  Mr. McDonald acknowledges, “Without Shilo’s equipment operator and equipment, we would not be able to receive these books.”   The retail value of the books exceeds $262,000.00.  Over 14,000 children will receive these books.  (See Santa’s list of recipients)
