Frequently Asked Questions
READY! for Kindergarten is a program of The Children’s Reading Foundation. It was developed during a seven-year period by a team of early childhood educators, kindergarten teachers, parents, and caregivers in conjunction with the Kennewick School District in Washington. The READY! @ Child Care & Preschool Program was adapted from the READY! for Kindergarten Parent Program to extend learning for the child between home and child care or preschool.

When used together, the programs bridge learning for the child between home and child care or preschool in the years before kindergarten begins. These programs engage parents, early childhood educators, and child care providers, which helps build strong partnerships between schools or organizations and the communities they serve.
